XML Wrench[]

So, when you use XML Wrench and go thru thousands of lines of code, and I did not find a corrupt file that I know of but I know that when I found one of my project files somewhere in the temp folder, I was able to go piece by piece to relink it last week - found one AfterEffects file that was bad - CAUSE: Upgrade to Premiere Pro 4.1.0 and adding Shockware, etc. and uninstatlling/installing Premiere Production - IS a NIGHTMARE now!! It seemed to corrupt my AfterEffects file. All I want is my project back!!! Many hours, days, weeks, months spent!. So, when you want to remove the file (.avi file) that I think is corrupted, do I remove all of the code that is associated with that AAE file? Does that include all the section that not only cover the SubClip which lists the <name>Name of your file </name> along with all the section that associated it, like the VideoClip, Markers, ChildClip, ClipChannel, VideoComponent, etc?. It lists the Object # - there's a lot so do I remove that entire batch and other parts found on other areas of the code? Once removed, then I will need to save it as a .prproj file but will work on a copy first. --75.4.222.114 20:43, 4 July 2009 (UTC) jean

XML Wrench - Solve Adobe Premiere Pro issue "Project Appears To Be Damaged"[]

I used the XML Wrench and went to Tools "Check well formed" like it was said somewhere in this website and surprizingly it worked.

I checked two simple but stupid errors. The errors in my project were spaces before the name of two videoclips. I removed the spaces, saved the project under a differrent name just to be sure and now I'm rocking again.

Best luck for all of you.

Nuno

XML Wrench - "Worked for me also, Yea !!! " Solve Adobe Premiere Pro issue "Project Appears To Be Damaged"  3-4-2013

Turns out some of the Free VST audio plugins (Classic EQ from a german author) I got years ago must write bad characters in some of it's name fields, or maybe it's from me trying to do "custom" settings - even after I fixed all the bad name fielsd & reloaded it in Premier - the bad names came back, so I fixed it again, deleted that EQ, used a different one and then the project file wroks and loads!

Thank You
